CountryLICS

CountryLICS are national and regional innovation research networks established under the broader Globelics framework to strengthen collaboration among researchers, policymakers, and practitioners working on innovation and development. These networks provide platforms for addressing country-specific and regional challenges while contributing to the global exchange of knowledge on innovation systems, technological learning, and competence building.

Each CountryLICS network promotes research that reflects local economic, social, and institutional contexts, encouraging evidence-based policy discussions and stronger links between academia, government, industry, and civil society. Although each network operates independently, all share the common objective of advancing innovation as a driver of sustainable, inclusive, and knowledge-based development.

CountryLICS also play an important role in building research capacity by organizing conferences, workshops, PhD Academies, training activities, and collaborative projects. These initiatives create opportunities for early-career researchers to engage with experienced scholars and to develop international research partnerships. By connecting local experiences with the broader Globelics community, CountryLICS strengthen regional cooperation while ensuring that diverse perspectives from the Global South contribute to international debates on innovation, development, and public policy.
