Networks

Globelics is a global network rooted in regional and national communities. To strengthen research, capacity building, and policy dialogue in ways that respond to different development realities, the network is supported by Regionalics and CountryLics: regional and country-based networks that bring the Globelics spirit closer to local contexts.

RegionaLICS

Regionalics are regional chapters that promote collaboration among scholars, students, policymakers, and practitioners working on innovation, learning, competence building, science, technology, and development. They organize regional conferences, doctoral academies, seminars, workshops, thematic groups, publications, and policy-oriented activities, while remaining connected to the broader Globelics community and its global agenda.

These regional networks play a key role in recognizing that innovation and development challenges are shaped by specific historical, institutional, productive, social, and territorial conditions. By working closer to regional realities, Regionalics help generate knowledge that is context-sensitive, policy-relevant, and grounded in the experiences of different parts of the world.

RegionaLICS include AfricaLics (Africa), LALICS (Latin America), and NACLICS (North America and the Caribbean), each fostering regional networks around innovation, learning, competence building, and development.

CountryLICS

CountryLics complement this structure by fostering national communities of research and practice. They create spaces for dialogue within countries, support local academic capacities, connect researchers with policy debates, and contribute to strengthening national innovation and development agendas.

Together, Regionalics and CountryLics make Globelics a truly distributed and inclusive network. They connect global debates with regional and national experiences, strengthen South–South and North–South collaboration, and help build a community that learns from diversity while working toward shared goals of inclusive and sustainable development.

CountryLICS include CICALICS (China), IndiaLics (India), EthiopiaLics (Ethiopia), and NigeriaLics (Nigeria), creating spaces for collaboration, capacity building, academic exchange, and engagement with national innovation and development challenges.
